Staff

A large number of highly skilled specialist staff are employed within Sex and Violent Offender Therapeutic Programs. The Director, SVOTP is responsible for the state-wide implementation and integrity of the specialised programs as well as managing a team of senior psychologists and over 40 psychologists who provide these services.

All psychologists working in SVOTP are fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia in line with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Many psychologists hold professional memberships with international and local professional organisations including the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA), the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abuse (ANZATSA), and the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law (ANZAAPL).

SVOTP staff also provides a high level of support and advice to CSNSW and GEO staff to assist in the effective management of sexual and violent offenders in custody and in the community. A range of training packages can be delivered to CSNSW staff as well as external agencies and Masters Degree programs.
