Corrective Services NSW

Legal and medical visitors

COVID-Safe measures apply to all legal and professional visits. Ensure you know the rules before you make a booking

All legal and professional visits must be pre-booked.

You will be screened prior to entry, including a temperature check and visit times are capped at 30 minutes.

Medical specialists

Under certain circumstances, inmates may be visited by a medical specialist of their own choice rather than by those contracted to Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.

In such cases, the visiting professional should contact the Manager of Security at the facility where the inmate is located in the first instance.

Private Medical Professionals

The information presented below represents the core visiting times for NSW correctional centres. Owing to resource implications, legal visits at most correctional centres are by way of appointment.
