The Aboriginal Deaths in CSNSW Custody Thematic Review will carefully consider the deaths of Aboriginal people in the custody of Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) since 2010.
The Review will be guided by an external reference group including many Aboriginal experts with considerable relevant experience, chaired by Professor James Ward.
The Review will make recommendations on how CSNSW can reduce deaths in custody and improve the experience of Aboriginal people in custody, in a report to the Minister for Corrections. Please see the Terms of Reference and Project Methodology for further information, or contact Michael.Duffy@justice.nsw.gov.au

Informed by lessons of the past, Department of Communities and Justice is improving how we work with Aboriginal people and communities. We listen and learn from the knowledge, strength and resilience of Stolen Generations Survivors, Aboriginal Elders and Aboriginal communities.
